Dr. Babitha Nugala is a compassionate and experienced dentist with a strong background in both specialist and general dentistry.
Originally trained as a Periodontist in India, she worked for over 12 years as a Professor in the Periodontics Department,
mentoring dental students and developing extensive experience in gum health, implants, and advanced dental care.
After moving to Australia, Dr. Babitha has spent the last seven years working in private general dentistry,
including two years serving rural communities. Her broad clinical experience allows her to provide comprehensive dental care with a gentle and patient-focused approach.
Dr. Babitha particularly enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, smile designing, and has a special interest in
dental implants and creating confident smiles. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their dental journey.
Having struggled with dental problems herself as a child and spending a lot of time visiting dentists,
Dr. Babitha understands firsthand the fear and anxiety many patients experience in the dental chair. This personal experience inspired her to create a caring,
non-judgmental environment where patients feel safe, respected, and supported. She strongly believes there should never be shame associated with having dental problems,
and her goal is to help patients rebuild both their oral health and confidence.
Together with her husband, who is also a Periodontist, she is involved in managing another family dental practice, Armadale Dental Centre.
Outside dentistry, Dr. Babitha is a proud mother of two children and enjoys spending time with family.
In her free time, she loves travelling to the mountains, practicing Pilates, and singing.
Dr. Babitha believes dentistry is not only about treating teeth,
but also about building trust, confidence, and long-term relationships with patients.
